Through our generous gifts to Neighbors In Need, the United Church of Christ is offering hope to millions of people; we are transforming lives, the nation, and our world. Through the Massachusetts Conference a Neighbors in Need grant recipient is The City Mission Society; the oldest multi-service agency in New England. The City Mission Society has been offering assistance to low-income and marginalized men, women, and children in Boston since 1816. Their services reach over 4,500 people each year, including: Homelessness Prevention for families and individuals; Positive activities for teens and elementary school-aged youth; Reducing youth violence; Volunteer opportunities for congregations and individuals .
