If you haven’t already heard, I became an ordained minister of the United Church of Christ on March 30th. The service was awesome…to say the least. It was wonderful to have so many people from around the world attending and participating in the service. The laying on of hands with the participation of the whole gathered congregation was especially moving. There is something about the fact that the whole congregation (not just the Bishop or even just clergy) is involved in that simple, but highly symbolic act, that makes it so special. It is a day that I will remember for the rest of my life. Thank you to all who were involved in the service. Thank you to all who worked so hard to make the reception after the service such a spectacular event (people are still talking about the food). Thank you to everyone who attended the service and brought their prayers and presence to the beginning of this next stage in my life’s journey.
